Gewurztraminer, Altenbourg, 2024

From a limestone-clay vineyard situated just beneath the Grand Cru Furstentum, this is a beautifully perfumed yet composed Gewurztraminer. Bottled just off-dry at 17g/l residual sugar, it is fuller-bodied and more structured, with a waxy texture, showing honeyed fruit alongside candied grapefruit and lime leaf, with a more herbal, dried ginger profile. Aged for 10 months in old oak foudrés.
