Acte 5, 2013
G Acte 5 is produced from predominantly clay and limestone soils in Fronsac. The plantings are reflective of Lafleur, however, in 2013, the blend favours Merlot (70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc). Packed with cranberry fruit, wild berries and kirsch. This is more muscular and possesses a bigger structure than Grand Village. There's a generous core of fruit that is framed by refined, velvety tannins.
critic reviews
Saturated medium ruby. Like a coulis of black fruits on the nose, complicated by suggestions of coffee, licorice and vanilla. Dense and chewy in the mouth, but with lovely freshness framing and lifting the crunchy black cherry, blackcurrant, licorice and mineral flavors. Finishes with a firm spine of rising tannins and some youthful austerity. Comes across as denser and longer than the regular Grand Village cuvee.
