Entirely crafted from Merlot planted on clay-limestone slopes, the 2022 Bellevue reveals a deep, complex bouquet of cassis, blackberries, flowers and spices. Medium to full-bodied, enrobing and seamless, it's layered and concentrated and framed by a fleshy core of fruit and an energetic, fresh mid-palate, concluding with a long, perfumed and lively finish. Matured for 16 months in equal parts new and one-year-old barrels, this is an attractive, well-crafted wine.

The 2022 Bellevue is a powerful, structured wine. Huge tannins enshroud a core of black fruit, gravel, spice and menthol. It will be interesting to see if the tannins soften with élevage.
