The 2022 L'Extravagant de Doisy Daene, 100% Sauvignon Blanc, is pale to medium straw in color. The nose erupts with vibrant grapefruit, lemonade, and lime cordial scents, leading to suggestions of clover honey, chamomile tea, and coriander seed with a waft of chalk dust. The palate is rich, concentrated, and decadent, with beautiful freshness and an epically long finish. An incredible achievement that Denis would be proud of.

The 2022 L'Extravagant de Doisy-Daëne, pure Sémillon as usual, is deceptively backward on the nose. The action is on the palate: unctuous honeyed fruit counterbalanced by fine acidity, extremely pure with layers of wild peach, apricot, figs and marmalade on the long finish.
