Château Haut Bages Monpelou

This Pauillac estate is owned by the Castéja family who own Chateau Batailley and Trottevieille. The vineyards were formally part of Duhart Milon (owned by the Castéja family in the 16th century ). In 1950 Haut-Bages Monpelou was separated from the Duhart and has been managed as an separate property since. The wines benefit from the same wine-making know-how as Batailley and offer good, characterful Pauillac at a sensible price.
