Château La Conseillante, Pomerol, 2012

Produced from 89% Merlot harvested on the 24th and 29th of September and 11% Cabernet Franc brought in on the 5th and 9th of October. This was the latest recorded harvest at this estate. Initially quite reserved, but after aeration, there are hints of tiny sweet plums, stones and raspberry sherbet. The palate is bright, ripe and pure. There is a hint of slightly confected fruit, but it is pure, sexy, possesses lots of length, silky tannins and is a big step up on the 2011.
