Deep garnet-purple colored. Slowly emerges from the glass with notes of fresh blackberries and Bing cherries, giving way to hints of pencil shavings, wild thyme, and wet slate. The medium-bodied palate is soft and silky with delicate red and blackberry flavors and just enough freshness, finishing on a peppery note.
The 2024 La Pointe has a deep colour and a comparatively powerful bouquet of opulent black and blueberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a structured opening. Graphite-tinged black fruit leads to a sapid and quite structured finish. This is a linear La Pointe that maybe just needs a little more sustain, but it should repay a couple of years in the cellar.
Sappy, juicy, deep ruby red colour, grilled cedar, sandalwood oak. A slow build through the palate, velvety tannins, coupled with salinity and juice, great quality in the vintage. Since 2023 owners Generalis also have Croque Michotte in St Emilion (not tasted). Harvest 23 September to 4 October.
