Château Quinault L'Enclos, St Emilion Grand Cru, 2015

Quinault L'Enclos, Cheval Blanc's project in the outskirts of Libourne is really beginning to pay dividends. Pierre-Olivier Clouet has made so much progress at this Chateau. Work in the vineyard and Cheval Blanc know-how during vinifications has made this a really attractive proposition. Produced from 69% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 19% Cabernet Sauvignon, this is wonderfully intense, with floral notes, bell pepper and pure loganberry aromas. The palate is seductive and packed with precise, silky, cassis fruit and there is a good sense of tension and cohesion given by the acidity and bright, pure fruit tannins
