The 2025 Rauzan Gassies was picked September 8 to 20 and matured in 55% French oak for a planned 18 months. It has a potent nose with scents of strawberry and raspberry pastilles. It is just missing the complexity of its Margaux peers, though there is nothing unattractive about it. The palate is medium-bodied, with dry tannins, mocha and powdered dark chocolate obscuring the red brambly fruit underneath. It just seems off the pace in a vintage when many Margaux estates thrived.

An enjoyable Rauzan Gassies, it has plenty of potential, it's juicy and well extracted, softly so, with bounce and juice, old school in its charm. but deliciously so. 60% new oak for ageing.
