Good medium saturated ruby. High-toned, confectionery aromas of Valrhona chocolate and porty raisin. Huge, sweet and rather unrefined, with the high-toned character following through in the mouth. Slightly shrieking acidity contributes to the wine's rustic quality. Finishes with serious tannic clout. Will this outsized wine magically be transformed into a (200-pound) swan? Not recommended for the faint of heart.
