This minute 1.2 hectare vineyard in the heart of Margaux is always one of the most thrilling Margaux we taste. From 80 year old vines, Luc Thienpont and Jacques Boissenot have produced yet another magical Clos des Quatre Vents. Crafted from 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 15% other... Smouldering ripe bramble aromas, sweet griotte cherries; this is floral, complex, mineral and very seductive. Packed with juicy raspberries and suave fruit - this is as lush and as polished as the brilliant 2009. The texture is almost seamless; super fine tannins, long refined flavours and just a hint of dark chocolate liqueur on the sumptuous finish. Delicious!
