L'Esprit de Chevalier, Blanc,

The 2022 L'Esprit de Chevalier Blanc, 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon, charges out with zesty notions of lemon tart, lime cordial, and Granny Smith apples, giving way to wild thyme and chalky hints. The medium-bodied palate is crisp and wonderfully pure, with fantastic tension and a chalky finish. pH 3.24.

The 2022 L'Esprit de Chevalier Blanc has a well-defined bouquet with lemon zest, freshly-sliced pear and orange rind. Good complexity for a Deuxième Vin. The palate is well balanced with a pithy entry, peach skin and lemongrass touches. The 2022 is complex and focused with a fine persistence on the finish. This is a strong showing in a vintage, not necessarily geared toward the dry whites.
