Bachelet Monnot
Santenay, Rouge, Les Prarons, Bachelet-Monnot, 2024
justerini & brooks tasting note
More hedgerow-driven and precise than the Charmes, with a cooler, earthier thread and firmer, slightly rustic tannins. Crisp cherry, redcurrant and rosehip scents, over fresh herbs and crushed stones.

The 2024 Santenay Les Prarons has a cheeky touch of curry leaf on the nose, a scent that marries well with the mixture of red and black fruit. Fine delineation, though not powerful. The palate is clean and pure, a "fluid" Santenay that just seems to flow, citrus-fresh red fruit adorning the bright and perky finish. One of the hidden gems amongst the Bachelet-Monnot range (again).
