The 2021 Santenay Vieilles Vignes, which includes their single vineyard cuvées this year, has a well-defined nose with brambly red fruit, briary and light sous-bois scents. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy tannins, a touch of black pepper and tobacco, quite spicy on the finish. Not complex, but there is plenty of personality and charm here.
