Boisson Vadot
Meursault, Les Chevaliéres, 2010
justerini & brooks tasting note
Always one of the most closed and tightly wound of the Boisson Vadot wines, the palate offers explosive rich fruit with mineral and rock salt extract, this is so intense, ripe and zesty. Stunningly expansive and haunting on the finish. Excellent. This comes from 28 year old vines that are situated in the middle of the slope in very stony soil. The wine, rather like the more famous Chevalier of Puligny, is ‘tight’ and minerally in its youth and can take time to show its character. Aged for 21 months in 40% new oak.
