Marsannay, Blanc, La Charme aux Prêtres, 2023

The blended Sources des Roches has been discontinued and in its place the Clairs are focussing on single site Marsannay Blancs. La Charmes aux Prêtres made up the majority of the blend and here, on its own, it comes across as wine of greater definition and salinity than Sources des Roches ever did. Freshly cut lemons, rock salt, wild plum and fresh apricots, with plenty of finish and length. An example of the part being greater than the sum it would seem! A well situated, east facing vineyard adjacent to Grasses Têtes.
