    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

A cuvée that goes from strength to strength. This fills out and deepens with every passing year, whilst staying true to its stony, high-altitude origins. The 2016 is at the more generous spectrum of Vosne Perdrix vintages, tense and crystal clear as ever but with a nice ‘cher’ and ripeness. Ripe garriguette strawberry, cherry and damson fruit with hints of salt crystals. Seductive yet mineral and uplifting. A very fine high Vosne Villages vineyard situated next to Reignots 1er Cru a touch higher up the slope, this also includes a small proportion of Petit Monts 1er Cru as Bruno’s parcel is too small for it to be vinified on its own.

    Stephen Tanzer,
    Vinous
(the estate made 80% of a normal crop here, or about 30 hectoliters per hectare): Good medium red. Inviting scents of raspberry, chocolate and mocha. Suppler and sweeter than the last couple of village wines and a step up in flesh and texture. A touch reduced but still nicely perfumed. Like a few other of these '16s, this wine appears to have been softened by the racking in November and should give early pleasure. Tannins are dusty and fine-grained.
