Bourgogne, Côte d'Or, 2022
There are Bourgognes and there are Bourgognes, and here’s one with glorious flesh and fine gripping tannins, a sense of energy and grace too. Deep fruit at core. Delicious. A top Bourgogne of superb pedigree that comes from vines aged between 30-70 years old planted in the Chambolle and Vosne communes.
critic reviews
The 2022 Bourgogne Cote d'Or offers up lovely aromas of red cherries, wild berries and vine smoke. Medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping, with a fleshy core of fruit and sweet, melting tannins, it's especially charming this year.
The 2022 Bourgogne Côte d'Or, which is completely de-stemmed, has a delightful bouquet of blackberry and raspberry fruit, well-defined with a subtle floral scent. The palate is medium-bodied with quite firm tannins. This strict Bourgogne Côte d'Or will require a few months in bottle. A 'solid' Bourgogne Côte d'Or.
