Marsannay, Les Es Chezots, 2022

Invariably a serious Marsannay, Es Chezots is a late ripening vineyard in the northern reaches of the appellation. The soils are composed of red marls and tend to produce deep wines with notes of iron and spice. Expressive and aromatic, with orange peel and ripe strawberries over a deep, driving palate that has plenty of intensity and focus. Just 10% whole bunch here. This presents a very complete picture, with well resolved tannins and a pleasing complexity.
