Château de Meursault
Bourgogne, Blanc, Clos du Chateau, 2020
justerini & brooks tasting note
Striking for its crystal clear freshness, this is crisp, classy Bourgogne. The palate offers translucent lemon zest and crystallised citrus fruit flavours with a touch of Mirabelle. Taut but ripe and extremely fluid. Extremely well-poised and stylish for a Bourgogne. An east facing Clos in the grounds of the Chateau, this is one of their signature wines. Aged in 15% new oak barrels for 12 months.

The 2020 Bourgogne Blanc Clos du Chateau has a clean and crisp bouquet, quite steely compared to its peers. The palate is taut and fresh, quite saline, though lacks a bit of precision as it stumbles across the finish line.
