Chablis, La Forest, 1er Cru, 2011

Dauvissat’s finest Premier Cru from a well exposed parcel of vines within the Montmains vineyard and quite possibly the ulitmate Premier Cru of all Chablis. Intense and concentrated, the 2011 Forest displays superb balance offering on the one hand a distinct chalky, stony rock salt character and on the other great richness, texture, body and fresh citrus fruit character. Despite the richness this is lively, crisp and full of life. Stunning.
