    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note
Domaine de la Commaraine, Chambolle Musigny, Les Condemennes, 2022

A tiny plot of just .15ha on the Vougeot side of the appellation, just below Charmes. Juicy, fragrant red fruits – plump, fruit forward, with engaging raspberry and cherry fruit – easy, gliding and graced with touches of almond blossom on the finish.

The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Les Condemennes comes from their own vineyard that has been farmed since 2020. It has quite a backward bouquet, the 50% new oak (François Frères and Seguin-Moreau) just a little static at the moment, missing a bit of flow. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly furry tannins. There’s pleasant black fruit here, though, like the nose, it misses some flesh and precision on the finish. Less oak would benefit this wine, and apparently, this will be the case in the future.
