Now fermented with its own yeasts, this is a particularly fine and precise Clos de la Folie, gentle but with a gentle tension too. This always strikes me as spherical wine, but there’s a little crispy note too this year, and surprising persistence for such an effortless delivery. Lovely. The 2023 Rully Blanc Clos la Folie comes from the monopole. The nose has a touch of dried pineapple and light hints of vanilla and orange blossom. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry, straightforward and citrus-fresh with a lovely texture. A dash of lemongrass lingers on the finish. This blossoms in the glass.
