Offering up aromas of cherries, vine smoke, orange zest, plums and spices, the 2022 Vosne-Romanee Clos d'Eugenie is medium to full-bodied, layered and fleshy, with a textural attack that segues into an ample core of creamy, perfumed fruit, concluding with a long, saline finish.

The 2022 Vosne-Romanée Le Clos d'Eugénie includes 40% whole bunches this vintage. It has a backward nose, the fruit darker than on the Vosne Villages, crushed stone filtering through the dark red fruit. Very tight. The palate is medium-bodied with a sapid entry, touches of oyster shell complementing the cranberry and raspberry fruit on the finish that will hopefully gain a tad more persistence. It will require 4-5 years in bottle.
