Domaine Henri Gouges

Nuits-Saint-Georges, Les Pruliers, 1er Cru, 2024

justerini & brooks tasting note

Higher toned red fruits define the Pruliers with a touch of fresh rose giving a floral lift lilt to the wild strawberry, raspberry and red cherry fruit. This has a very pretty, perfumed red fruit allure, with a fine saltiness too. Very fine tannins and pleasing inner tension. This will require a few years but should emerge as a dancing high toned Pruliers full of cherry stone and flowers.

critic reviews

Neal Martin,Vinous

The 2024 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru has a touch more lift and florality compared to the Clos des Porrets: bilberry and mulberry, bay leaf and used tea leaves surfacing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins on the entry, more red fruit locked into this wine with a strict but slightly more elegant finessed finish compared to the Clos des Porrets. This should drink well after bottling but might also age better than you think.
