A tiny Cuvée that was released for the first time in 2010 from a small but well-situated vineyard that sits next to Vaucrains. The soil is sandy and relatively poor, producing a fragrant and immediately attractive wine of great charm. Silky smooth in texture, this is fine, aromatic and gently gripping with flavours of red berry, cherry, strawberry and kirsch.

The 2010 Nuits St. Georges Les Chênes Carteaux is soft, supple, silky and beautifully balanced. Layers of black fruit, cassis, spices and licorice wrap around the palate in this sensual, caressing wine. Everything here is about textural elegance. There is lovely volume in the glass.
