    On the softer side of the Morey spectrum. More than a passing similarity to Chambolle Musigny. Beautifully bright transparent red fruit and a faint touch of stone, woven together by the finest thread of tannin. Delicate, gentle but with plenty of poise and vivacity. A beauty. A very fine village parcel of shallow soils, planted in 1970.

    Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
    (about 25% of the fruit was lost to frost): Bright, dark red with ruby tones. Quite open and aromatic on the nose, offering scents of black cherry and flowers. Nicely concentrated, sappy wine with a subtle sweetness to its flavors of cherry and black raspberry. This fruit was entirely destemmed but the wine finishes linear and firmly tannic, with good saline persistence.
