Domaine Jean Grivot
Nuits-Saint-Georges, Les Pruliers, 1er Cru, 2023
justerini & brooks tasting note
Long, velvet-textured minerally fruits; ripe red and black small forest berry fruits. Intense, gripping, defined and mineral. Incredibly lively and long, fulsome but refined Nuits.

The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru is more backward on the nose compared to Grivot's other wines from the appellation. Its bouquet features dark berry fruit, earthy tones and a touch of ceps. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly lactic texture. It's quite smooth, with just a faint touch of fig, but there's good body and gentle grip toward the toasty finish. This is a fine Nuits Saint-Georges, but in this instance, I prefer the previous vintage.
