Quite reserved and mineral with hedgerow fruit alongside fine cherry and plum notes, a touch of savoury complexity, and more depth but also more in reserve than the Bourgogne. A lovely villages. From 12 different parcels spanning 7 lieu dits across the appellation.

The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Village is quite understated on the nose. Forest floor scents mix with incense as red berry fruit tones gently unfurl in the glass, though it doesn't make too much of a fuss. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins, pretty red fruit mixed with blood orange on the entry and moderate weight. It is finely balanced with a dash of white pepper on the finish. Give this a couple of years in bottle and you'll have a lovely Vosne Village on your hands.
