Dark and red fruit, tense, taut and mineral flavours perfectly in tune with the impressively ripe fruit. Complex and intense yet in such a refined and charming way. Alluring, concentrated floral forest and summer berry and cherry fruits, such finesse and energy. This has that expansive, (peacock’s tail) finish you more often associate with Grands Crus. A parcel of 70-year-old vines, adjacent to Le Musigny that usually produces seven barrels, two of which are bottled under the appellation Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru La Combe d’Orveaux, Cuvée Ultra, the rest are blended into the Chambolle Villages.
