Domaine Perrot Minot
Chambolle Musigny, Vielles Vignes, 2015
justerini & brooks tasting note
Very bright and vivid, a chalk and limestone-influenced Chambolle, all stones minerals and finesse. Lively and with nice old vine depth without being bogged down by it. Dynamic red berry and cherry fruit, fresh and incisive and complex. From a wonderful villages parcel of 100-year-old vines situated near the Bussière of Morey and, from 2014 onwards, the blend also includes Perrot-Minot’s famed Combe d’Orveau cuvée.

Bright, full red. Musky, pure aromas of raspberry, strawberry and crushed rock. Wonderfully sweet, even a bit candied, with its sappy red fruit and mineral flavors supported by a firm spine of acidity. This serious village wine finishes with broad, fine-grained tannins and lovely rising length. I'd give it a couple years to open.
