The 2018 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru has a surprisingly reserved bouquet for this vineyard, featuring tightly coiled, slightly earthy dark fruit laced with subtle brine-like aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, gentle and slight in frame, perhaps needing to develop more <em>matière</em> and length on the finis, which tapers in a little.
