More floral than the Morey with lifted, very fine red fruits and a crisp, floating intensity to the fruit. A fine and yet present structure sits at the core of this, while fantastic energy and momentum keep it oh so lively. Haunting and gorgeous.

The 2022 Vosne-Romanées Ormes des Chalandins is a blend of Les Ormes and Les Chalandins, as made obvious by its portmanteau title. It has quite a strict nose at first, with crushed stone filtering through the tart red cherry fruit and a touch of tea leaf in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with a sapid entry. It has fine acidity, quite sharp at the moment, with a brisk, slightly compact finish and sour cherry lingering on the aftertaste. Give this two or three years in bottle.
