Chapelle-Chambertin, Grand Cru, 2022
Spicy complex fruit sashays from the glass in this velvety, elegant Chapelle – a wine of sleek fruit, cherry stones, polished tannins and flow. Grand Cru finesse. Fermented with 20% whole bunches and aged in 60% new oak of medium toast.
critic reviews
The 2022 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru shows promise, unfurling in the glass with aromas of sweet berries and cherries mingled with notes of orange zest, spices and peonies. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with supple tannins and lively acids, it's produced from climat En la Chapelle.
The 2022 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru has quite a perfumed bouquet, very floral, with incense aromas percolating through the red berry fruit. It just needs a little more mineralité. The medium-bodied palate has firm and slightly obdurate tannins, somewhat lactic in style, with hints of mocha towards the finish. Moderate length. Fine.
