Gevrey Chambertin, Au Closeau, 1er Cru, 2009

A Premier Cru just in front of Mazis-Chambertin. A pretty classic-style Gevrey, round warming and voluptuous: ripe and enticing flavours of cherries, kirsch, berry liqueur, glycerol and hints of sloe, with a pliable, rounded tannic structure providing support.
