    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note
Etienne Sauzet, Puligny Montrachet, Les Folatières, 1er Cru, 2013

Very Puligny, textbook stuff; mineral and stony. Intense, nicely weighted and focused. Ripe but very fine, crystal clear fruit flavours of citrus. Sophisticated, taut but with ample supporting richness. Superb. A great Puligny vineyard of poor stony soils that makes for wine of slight shape situated above Combettes and next door to Meursault Perrières, planted on a well-balanced mix of clay and limestone soils. The vines average 50 years old. Half of the vines comes from the 1er Cru part of the En la Richarde lieu-dit, next door to Leroy's En La Richarde parcel.
