Gevrey Chambertin, Les Cazetiers, 1er Cru, 2016

A flagship wine for Faiveley, who own a giant 4ha out of a total of 8ha. Brooding and a little closed at first but also deliciously salty. Rich but taut. Lots of saline hedgerow fruit, long cool spice notes. Very fine tannic weave. Aged in one-third new oak barrels.
