Beaune, Lulunne, 2021
justerini & brooks tasting note
A ripe and honeyed stone fruit nose, certainly no shrinking violet. The product of young vines and the result is a boisterous Beaune village wine with a real zip of acids and minerals. An early drinking cuvée of concentrated fruit and a certain richesse. A high Beaune vineyard situated above 1er Cru Montrevenots on the Pommard border.

The 2021 Beaune En Lulunne, the entry-level white replanted 10 years ago, has quite an intense, liquorice-tinged bouquet. The palate is well balanced with light tannins, hints of ginger and menthol, with a straightforward, orange peel finish. More of a short-term proposition.
