Quite a bit of complexity for a Bourgogne, darker briary fruit, briary, with a lovely savoury earth quality too. Dark, with some real concentration. Would sit happily on a winter table. For all that there remains a lovely transparency to the flavours. Impressive. A Bourgogne from the Pommard appellation from very old vines that will be uprooted before long due to their low yields.
