Laroze de Drouhin
Gevrey Chambertin, Les Grandes Rayes, 2010
justerini & brooks tasting note
A fantastic lieu-dit under Les Cays planted with 65-to-75-year-old vines. Rayes is the old French word for “rose”and as ever with French vineyard names they are often so apt – this is floral and full of ripe violet and rose-scented fruit, bursting with crisp, ripe red and black cherries, hints of griotte with a toned, muscled power but finishing on sweet floral flavours.
