As usual, the 2023 Chablis Montmains 1er Cru was taken directly from stainless-steel vat. This has the best aromatics of the four cuvées tasted at Tribut with touches of oyster shell that tincture the citrus fruit. There's a nice reduction at play here. The palate is a little richer in style, a touch more viscous than the Côte de Léchet, countered by a keen line of acidity. Again, there is a touch of spice towards the finish with a little more persistence on the aftertaste. Good potential here.
