Meursault, Santenots, 1er Cru, 2018

An open alluring profile, fresh citrus peel notes mixed with riper touches of honeysuckle and Mirabelle with a chalky, mineral vein running close to the surface. Very attractive, clear cut and finely balanced. This is on the Volnay side of Meursault, in fact, were it planted with Pinot Noir this wine would carry the Volnay name, where the soils are of marne clay and give a strong mineral identity to the wine.
