Chassagne-Montrachet, 2015

justerini & brooks tasting note

Open, sweet-scented, opulent yellow plum and citrus fruit, the lush texture covers a good fresh acidity. Rich and smooth, this is a typical and very well balanced example of Chassagne-Montrachet - plenty of texture, body and fruit.

critic reviews

87/100Stephen Tanzer,Vinous

Bright, green-tinged yellow. Lime, underripe pineapple and menthol aromas are accented by an element of minerality. Enters the mouth with a touch of sweetness (actually 2.2 grams per liter residual sugar), then turns juicy and herbal, with bracing acidity limiting the wine's amplitude. Finishes with a slight bitter edge. Colin suggests waiting five years, but I'm not wild for this village wine.
