Bourgogne, Rouge, 2021
justerini & brooks tasting note
A very pretty, crunchy and bright Bourgogne here. Great definition and energy. Crystalline rosehip and hedgerow fruit flavours over a refreshing structure. From vines situated between Vosne and Clos de Vougeot that are between 30 and 60 years old, aged in one-year-old oak barrels.

Offering up aromas of sweet raspberries, petals and spices, the 2021 Bourgogne Rouge is medium-bodied, supple and giving, with a lively core of fruit and an open, expressive profile.

The 2021 Bourgogne Rouge offers ripe scents of red cherry and crushed strawberry. Touches of rose petal emerge with time. The palate is nicely balanced with fresh acidity, hints of dried orange peel complementing the dark berry fruit on the finish. Fine.
