Savigny Lès Beaune, Les Lavières, 1er Cru, 2022
Fragrant, sun-kissed red berries, bright and luminous with beams of sunlight flooding the palate – there’s a great energy to this, supple fruit and pretty floral notes. Just lovely. Texture is fine silk and the overall impression is lifted freshness. A extremely pretty Pinot of real class. A proportion of the blend was replanted in 2017 to a selection of Pinot Fin. The soils of Lavières are shallow and sandy resulting in supple, elegant wines that are often very expressive in their youth.

The 2022 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Lavières 1er Cru has a well-defined bouquet with black cherries and wild strawberry fruit, pure and refined. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe red fruit and light pastille notes, smooth and sensual towards the finish. Give this three or four years in bottle.
