Chablis, 2022
Fresh citrus with a lime zest dint, freshly baked bread notes and once again a certain amount of depth and concentration – impressive stature here, combining the power of the vintage with a textbook Chablisiene character in a relatively early drinking package. Rich, yet with a bright animating acidity that keeps it lively. Most of this cuvee comes from north-west facing parcels on Kimmeridgean clays that face the 1er Cru Forest – the effect being one of great freshness – with one small south facing parcel on marne soils, close to and above Les Clos.",
critic reviews
The 2022 Chablis Village offers yellow fruit, pithy pear and light waxy aromas on the nose that is a considerable step up from the Petit Chablis at the moment. The palate is very refined and pure, with lemon thyme and hints of chai, a little spicier than I remember but beautifully controlled. A lovely Chablis Village.
The 2022 Chablis exhibits scents of white peach, oyster shell and white flowers mingled with subtle hints of nutmeg and youthful reduction. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, it's concentrated and racy, concluding with a long, precise finish.
