Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut NV is very floral and perfumed on the nose with hints of butter biscuit and smoke, the light to medium-bodied palate has a yellow orchard fruit core complimented by soft acidity. It has a medium to long finish with hints of honey and smoke. This 40% Pinot Meunier, 40% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay based on the 2019 vintage, was aged for three years and includes 15% of reserve wines that are up to five years old in the blend. Disgorged December 2022 and finished with eight grams per liter dosage.
The latest release of Perrier-Jouet's NV Grand Brut bursts from the glass with an expressive bouquet of ripe pears, citrus oil, crisp white peach and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and textural, it's ample and enveloping, with a generous core of sun-kissed fruit, a delicate mousse and a nicely defined, delicately sweet finish.
(made from roughly 40% Pinot Meunier, 35% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay; 10 g/l dosage; Lot 029140020): Light yellow-gold. Zesty citrus and orchard fruits on the mineral-accented nose, with a hint of white flowers coming up with aeration. Lively and focused on the palate, offering slightly tart lemon and green apple flavors and a hint of candied ginger. Closes taut and spicy, with good cut and length.
