Les Parcelles is a precise expression of Bouzy terroir, combining a rich ripeness with chalky finesse. The XIX (2019 Base), sees quality set up a level with even more of the wine vinified now in oak and just 5% of reserve wines included in the blend. Brilliant, fine crystalline fruit, pixellated notes of ginger and crisp red fruit are delivered with pinpoint accuracy, a mousse of cut-glass finesse graces the palate while beams of crystalline structure hold steely fresh red berry fruits in place across the palate. With no dosage, not that you’d know it, this cuvée is composed of 70% pinot noir and 30 % chardonnay and spent 3 years on lees before disgorgement.
