Think crisp citrus and soft chalky notes in this easy going yet fresh fizz perfect for parties and get togethers. The Chenin Blanc in the blend gives the cuvee its racy definition while the Chardonnay provides the body.

Disgorged in January 2020, the NV Bouvet Brut de Loire Saumur is a pure, fresh and chalky Chenin Blanc fermented in stainless steel and aged in bottle for 15 months. The bouquet is intense and fresh, with typical Saumur character as well as brioche, orange and lemon notes on the nose. Playful and round on the palate, this is a textured, elegant and refined Brut with white honey flavors and a well-balanced, round, aromatic and stimulatingly salty finish. The wine has good freshness and grip on the finish and goes well as aperitif as well as for lighter dishes with white meat, fish and certainly cheese. This is a really excellent sparkling wine. Tasted from lot L20058-03 in March 2021.
