Domaine Charles Joguet

Domaine Charles Joguet

2006 is the first full vintage at this Domaine under the total control of young up and coming winemaker François-Xavier Barc following the retirement of Alain Delauney. What a glorious debut, 2006 was a below average production of 32 hl hectare as a result of a severe green harvesting and triage, the wines are simply stunning. The complexity and harmony of their single vineyard Clos, planted on tuf limestone, are unsurpassed in the appellation. Each of the Clos spend up to a year in two to five-year-old barriques, with a higher proportion of newer wood for the more concentrated Clos de La Dioterie and Clos du Chéne Vert. A domaine to watch very closely.
